中学卒業式

 こんにちは、大島です。

別院の本堂に、静かな鐘の音が響きます。
いつもより背筋の伸びた生徒たちが、
ゆっくりと席に座っていました。

今日は敬愛中学校の卒業式です。

厳かな空気の中で式は進み、
中学3年生一人ひとりが
校長先生から卒業証書を受け取ります。

名前を呼ばれ、前に進み出る姿。

その一歩一歩に、
この三年間の時間が
そっと重なって見えるようでした。

少し照れながら入学した日。
友達と肩を並べて歩く帰り道。
教室での何気ない会話。

そうした日々が積み重なり、
今日の凛とした立ち姿へと
つながっているのだと思います。

これから彼らは高校生。

それぞれの空へ、

それぞれの歩みで進んでいきます。

どうか自分らしく。

そして周りの人への感謝を胸に。

大きく羽ばたいてくれることを、

教職員一同、心から願っています。

NZ Diary March 11th

Hello! I'm Haruhi.

Today we had Cooking lesson! We made rolls and scones. The recipes were all in English and we made some mistakes along the way, but in the end it was delicious. It was fun to eat, but it was also fun to think and make it together.

In addition to cooking lessons, we also took Japanese lessons and ESOL lessons.

After school, I went to Hornby Mall and did some shopping with my friends in Keiai and Hornby! I bought some snacks and souvenirs. It was my first time playing with the friends from Hornby High School and it was fun.

After I went home, I had dinner with my host family while watching a movie. I had a great day!

NZ Diary March 10th

「EXPLORE ANTARCTICA」

Hello! I’m Mio.

Today I had normal classes until the third period. After that, we
visited the Explore Antarctica near the airport.


First, we learned about penguins in Antarctica and the penguins that
live at the centre. It was very interesting.


Next, we met some huskies. They were very big and very cute!


After that, we rode a special vehicle that is used in Antarctica. It
could drive easily on rough roads and steep hills, which surprised me.


Then we learned about the history of Antarctica and the Explore
Antarctica and we watched a 3D movie about Antarctica. We also entered
a room that was -8°C and experienced very strong wind. It was
extremely cold!

After school, I went shopping with my friends. There were many
products that we don’t have in Japan, so it was hard to decide what to
buy. I also tried some food and drinks, and they were very delicious!

NZ語学研修〜南極センターへ〜

 こんにちは、足立です。

ニュージーランド語学研修組は、今日は南極センターへ見学。

その昔、２０世紀のとき、南極探検の最後宿泊地がクライスチャーチだったそうです。

南極隊が戻ってきたらまずこの丘に座って6ヶ月ぶりの大地を噛み締めるそうです。

４Dムービーシアター

南極を体験できるギャラリーやストームルーム（マイナス18℃まで体験できる）、４Dムービーシアターなどがあります。当然、解説は英語です。

日本ではできない貴重な体験をたくさんすることができているようです。

セブ島語学研修〜スラム街訪問

 こんにちは、大島です。

本日は、cec海外ボランティアのJUNさんのコーディネートの元、セブ市内にあるスラム街へ訪問しました。

行きの車内では、スラムが生まれる背景や教育格差について考える機会となりました。フィリピンで英語が伝わることが多いため、当たり前のことだと思っていましたが、実際には教育の機会の差が大きく影響していることを知りました。

スラム街では、現地の家庭を訪問し、日々の生活やどのような支援を受けているのか、生の声を聞きました。

その後は子どもたちとダンスやアクティビティを通じ、コミュニケーションを取りました、

帰りの車内では、生徒たちから「ボランティア」や「寄付」についての話題が自然と出てきたことが印象的でした。現地の子どもたちと触れ合う中で、それぞれが何かを感じ、考えるきっかけになったのだと思います。 また、JUNさんの「ものを与えるよりもスキルを教えてあげる」ことが大切だという言葉が、心に残りました。

I'm Yui.

Today I went to a slum area in Cebu.

I met many local children there.

We played together and talked a lot.

They were very friendly and always smiling.

Playing with them made me very happy.

This experience helped me realize that Japan is a very fortunate country.

I felt grateful for my life in Japan.

I will never forget this special day.

NZ Diary March 9th

 Hello!! I’m Fua.

Today, in the first to fourth periods, I got more used to the
teacher’s speaking speed, but the words were still difficult, so I
couldn’t really understand the lessons.
In the fifth period Japanese class, I taught students from Hornby High
School about the stroke order and readings of kanji. It was fun to
explain the meanings of kanji with my friends.

During free time at school, I talked a lot with my buddy about our
favorite anime and music. It was really fun to share and compare what
we like.

After school, I went to McDonald’s with my friends. I thought I bought
normal chicken nuggets, but they were surprisingly very small, and my
friends and I were both really surprised.

After that, I went to my friend from Hornby High School’s house. They
had a very big dog, and it was really cute.

When I got home, I relaxed by petting the cat and watching TV.

セブ島語学研修〜ジンベエザメツアー

 こんにちは、大島です。

セブ島語学研修メンバーはこの日ジンベエザメツアーに参加しました。

海のきれいさやジンベエザメの大きさにびっくりしたようです。

貴重な経験をすることができましたね。

Hallo,I’m Atsuto.

I got up at 2:30 .I spent three hours in the car to go swiming in the sea.Though I felt sleepy, I couldn’t sleep.Because,the car was running so fast.I arrived at the village whose sea is so beautiful at six o’clock.After,I talked of Whale shark to employee.He said thet there are four Whale shark at least.The news made me excited.When I was swimming,I saw many fishes and Whale shark.That experience was very good except for being stung by a jellyfish.I ate Pizza and Spaghetti at restaulant where I can watch the sea.I had never eaten such a delicious meal in Cebu.
